At Your Appointment
After this resolution patient will be seen by the physical therapist for an evaluation which usually lasts 1 hour. The patient should dress comfortably as the therapist will be checking patients’ movement patterns, range of motion of affected and non affected joints, flexibility, strength, balance, reflexes and muscle tone. At the end of the evaluation the patient and physical therapist will come up with mutually accepted goals for treatment. The patient will be led back to the front desk manager to schedule all appointments, patient may need to bring appointment calendar with them. Next the patient care coordinator will clarify any questions the patient may have related to the physical therapy plan of care including goals for therapy, financial policy, barriers that may hinder progress and cancellation policy.
